Prism1666’ is an artistic tribute to this discovery consisting of 15 transparent triangular blocks randomly placed on a clean white surface. Colorful graphics are refracted and scattered by the glass blocks, creating vibrant visual performance -distribution of colors and graphic patterns are controlled by changing the level of light frequencies.

Yes I 100% agree - design and functionality go hand in hand. The question becomes… is it a good design and what’s more important? The statement here isn’t that they don’t go hand in hand, but that design precedes functionality and is >. Example of design trumping functionality:
